Students Leading Change: Recruiting the Next Generation of Latin Americanists

This plenary panel features students studying abroad in Latin America who will share their experiences, insights, and personal growth. Joined by study abroad leaders from their home institution who supported their enrollment and participation in the CIEE Leading Change in Latin America Student Fellowship, these speakers will discuss the impact of this experiences and explore strategies for encouraging more students to study abroad in Latin America. Additionally, panelists will discuss how ASU Online courses open the door for more students to study abroad in Latin America. Sparking excitement for study abroad via peer-to-peer engagement and the importance of enlisting faculty and parent support will also be explored.
