Biography

Dr. Sarah Krejci is an Associate Professor of Biology and Integrated Environmental Science at Bethune-Cookman University and the Director of the University’s Quality Enhancement Plan “Reimagining Innovations in Student Experiential Learning” and the Director of B-CU’s Center for Collaborative Experiential Learning.

Throughout her career, Dr. Krejci has been actively engaged in the mentoring, training, and education of undergraduate and graduate students in the field of marine science. Dr. Krejci has 20 years of experience working with marine ornamental aquaculture, focusing on seahorse and pipefish species. She is the founder and manager of the Aquatic Research Laboratory at B-CU which specializes in seahorse aquaculture, water quality analysis, zooplankton culture and field studies, and living shoreline research. In the last five years, she has researched and published in the field of science education. Her educational research focuses on visual literacy, open educational resources and socioscientific argumentation.

She is the co-author on the book “Climate Change Impacts on Ocean and Coastal Law”, Climate Change Impacts on Ocean and Coastal Law: U.S. and International Perspectives.” Among other publications.
