Robert Cassidy

Center Director, CIEE Copenhagen

Biography

Robert Cassidy is the Center Director for CIEE Copenhagen. As Center Director, he focuses on building programs that highlight Denmark’s special contributions to global society, with a particular emphasis on sustainability, Denmark’s green transition, and urban design. Prior to joining CIEE, Robert served as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Dawson College, one of Canada’s largest educational institutions, where he focused on sustainability and social justice initiatives. Before Dawson College, Robert led the Center for Teaching and Learning at Concordia University, also in Canada, where he drove pedagogical and curricular innovation, and deepened his commitment to sustainability and social justice in education. Though his career has taken him away from his earlier career in neuroscience research, Robert believes that this background has influenced his approach to teaching, learning, culture change, and advancing CIEE’s mission in innovative ways.
