Lucia Aguero

Lucía Agüero serves as CIEE Center Director in Santiago, Dominican Republic, where she leads high-impact study abroad programs that promote global meaningful citizenship, student engagement, and academic excellence. With over a decade of experience in higher education and international exchange across Latin America, the Caribbean, and North America, she brings deep expertise in intercultural development, global operations, and curricular design.

Grounded in Spanish language and Latin American studies from the University of Buenos Aires, Lucía is passionate about creating inclusive learning environments through strategic leadership, cross-cultural collaboration, and multi-sector partnerships. Her work is driven by a commitment to fostering critical reflection and global understanding as a way to challenge assumptions, deepen awareness, and build more just and reciprocal relationships with the Global South.
