Biography
Jason Bartholomew Scott, PhD, is an assistant professor of Sociology, Criminology, and Sociology at Colorado State University-Pueblo. He is a two-time Fulbright Scholar and is currently a visiting researcher affiliated with the Federal Fluminense University (UFF) in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, and the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). Jason has taught anthropology at Virginia Commonwealth University, Marquette University, Beloit College, Carroll University, and the University of Colorado. His research on social justice and climate resilience in Brazil has been supported by the Latin American Studies Association, the Ford Foundation, the Katherine Davis Fellowship for Peace, and the Wenner-Gren Foundation. He also teaches incarcerated students in Wisconsin and writes about abolitionism.
