Jade Orgill

Jade Orgill is a Human Development Specialist passionate about sustainable development, social justice and food security. With over a decade of experience in South Africa’s education and social sectors, she has worked across research, infrastructure and programme development, child literacy and community empowerment.

In 2017, driven by her passion for regenerative land practices, Jade founded The Sprightly Seed. Her vision is to build sustainable relationships between people and the earth, enabling vulnerable communities to become thriving participants in natural ecosystems.

To date, The Sprightly Seed has taught 46 schools across the Western Cape to grow organic produce using cost-effective, sustainable methods, established a market garden at a school for children with disabilities, and trained over 100 community members and organisations in regenerative agriculture.

Jade holds a Master’s in Social Planning from the University of Cape Town and mentors social impact entrepreneurs through the Oribi Village Food Systems programme. She is deeply committed to creating healthier, more empowered communities.
