Biography

Dr. Dintle Molosiwa is a Health Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Health, where she is currently supporting the National Health Insurance (NHI) system reform. She is also a Lecturer at the University of Botswana, with over 15 years of experience in health system strengthening. She holds a PhD from the Australian National University, alongside advanced postgraduate qualifications in healthcare administration and health policy from Ohio University. Her expertise spans health policy analysis and development, leadership and governance, applied health systems research, programme evaluation, health service delivery. Her work is grounded in a strong systems-thinking approach and a commitment to evidence-informed decision-making.

Dr. Molosiwa has led and contributed to various national and regional consultancy assignments with partners such as UNFPA, WHO, FHI360 and USAID. Her contributions have informed national and organizational policies and strategies. In her current role, she provides technical advisory support on the design and implementation of NHI and related reforms, translating research and evidence into practical policy options that promote equity, financial protection, and sustainable service delivery.

Across her academic and advisory roles, Dr. Molosiwa prioritises capacity strengthening for health professionals and policymakers, with a particular focus on gender equity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and effective implementation. Her work positions her as a key contributor to research, teaching, and policy innovation aimed at building resilient, equitable, and sustainable health systems in Botswana and the region.
