Turning to Technology: Emerging Access for Students with Disabilities
Though participation is steadily rising, people with disabilities are still significantly underrepresented in international exchange programs. One reason for this is the false assumption that other countries are inaccessible for people with disabilities. In this session, we’ll identify the barriers people with disabilities and their advisors encounter when researching exchange opportunities and indicate specific technologies that can remove these barriers. Finally, we’ll look at how exchange programs can use technology to bolster inclusion.
