Empowering Women as a Pathway to Peace

Women play a crucial role in preventing conflict, building peace, fostering economic growth, and addressing global threats. This session, inspired by the work of Georgetown University’s Institute for Women, Peace & Security, will explore strategies for empowering women as agents of stability and progress. Panelists will discuss cutting-edge research, successful policy interventions, and grassroots initiatives that amplify women’s leadership in peacebuilding, economic development, and global security. The session will also highlight opportunities for students and emerging leaders to engage in this vital work.
