Lisa Kumadiro

Lisa Kumadiro is a materials engineering and failure investigation specialist with a Master of Science (MSc) and Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town. She is a registered engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and a member of the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA) and the South African Institute of Marine Engineers and Naval Architects (SAIMENA).

She currently serves as the head of consulting at One Eighty Materials Engineering Solutions (Pty) Ltd (OEMES), specializing in materials characterization, metallurgical investigations, corrosion assessments, mechanical testing and root cause failure analysis.

Her experience spans the marine, mining, manufacturing, energy and industrial sectors, where she provides technical expertise in material performance, structural integrity and engineering failure investigations. She is passionate about advancing materials engineering through applied research, innovation and practical engineering solutions.
