Adelein Engelbrecht

Dr. Adelein Engelbrecht is a specialist Family Physician with extensive experience in primary healthcare and the South African public health sector.

She has worked across a range of clinical settings, with a particular focus on comprehensive patient care, clinical governance, health systems improvement and community-oriented primary care.

She currently works at District 6 Community Day Centre in Cape Town, where she provides clinical leadership and has played a key role in developing clinical governance structures, digital health initiatives and multidisciplinary community health programs. She is passionate about public health, health promotion and improving access to healthcare for diverse and vulnerable communities.

Dr. Engelbrecht is also actively involved in teaching, mentoring and supervising medical students, interns and exchange students, and enjoys creating opportunities for international learners to experience healthcare within the South African context.
