Lance Tomas

Lance Tomas is the sole Latin teacher at Stuyvesant High School, a public school in New York City, teaching Level 1 to AP Latin. He has over a decade of teaching and administrative experience in the NYC DOE and has coordinated student travel with CIEE in two of his schools. Although he has never studied abroad himself, Lance was inspired by his CIEE Barcelona site visit to increase high school student participation in immersive study abroad programs. Lance received his BA (Greek and Latin) and MAT (Latin Education) from Hunter College and his MA (Greek Language and Literature) from Columbia University.
