Biography

Dr. Jihye Oh is a research professor at the Korea University Institute for Sustainability, where she has been working since 2023. She leads the development of strategic insights and global benchmarking while involving the university’s sustainability strategy.

Dr. Oh earned her PhD in International Relations from Korea University in 2021. Her research focuses on the water industry, sustainability, and foreign aid within the political economy of East Asia, particularly China and Korea. Her work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Contemporary Asia and the Korean Journal of International Studies.

At the Graduate School of International Studies, she teaches courses on the Economy and Foreign Policy of China. She is also the author of several books, including Chinagram 3.0 (in Korean). Her earlier book, Introductory of the Chinese Economy (in Korean), was recognized as an Outstanding Academic Book by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in 2022. Before joining Korea University, Dr. Oh conducted research on water policy for Gyeonggi Province.
